In early 2016, the Gastrointestinal Society in Canada conducted a national online survey of adults with IBS and parents of children with IBS in order to learn more about IBS symptoms, experiences with diagnosis and medical care, and impact on daily life. The survey was available both in English and French. A total of 2961 people responded. See the English-language report in a downloadable PDF file, and a link to a five question followup survey  on the Gastrointestinal Society English-language site below. Both previous respondents, as well as other adults with IBS and parents of children with IBS residing in Canada are welcome to respond to the followup.
